Cosmetic Bonding and Tooth Colored Fillings

Cosmetic bonding is one way to fix a chipped tooth.  Bonding is a process where your natural teeth are fused with a strong material such as porcelain or resin to fix a chipped tooth, change the color, or change the shape of your tooth.

Also known as composite fillings. To replace the tooth structure that must be removed due to a cavity, a composite resin is used.  This composite resin is strong enough to be used on both front and back teeth.  Composite fillings have become the standard, replacing amalgam fillings, for fillings because it blends in more naturally with your teeth.

Crowns

Crowns & Bridges

When a cavity is too large to be repaired with a filling, a crown is the next alternative to saving your tooth.  The crown replaces the tooth and helps to strengthen the overall structure of the tooth that was weakened due to the cavity.  A crown can also be used to treat a tooth that has weakened over time or to replace a discolored tooth.

One way to replace missing teeth is with a bridge.  Bridges are just what its name implies; they bridge the gap of missing teeth.  A bridge replaces the missing teeth using the surrounding teeth as an anchor.

Both crowns and bridges are made to match your natural teeth.

Porecelain Veneers

Veneers

Veneers are used as a way to correct a variety of issues such as crooked, discolored, or chipped teeth.  They can also be used as a way to close gaps in between teeth.

These custom made thin shells sit on the outside of your teeth to give you a natural looking smile.  Your natural teeth are prepped by removing a thin layer of your enamel that will then be covered by the veneer.

Custom-made porcelain veneers can take as little as two visits, so if you don't want to wait for that smile you've always wanted veneers may be an option to consider.
